Artist's Comments

the title has nothing to do with this picture... I dont even why i am submitting it, not because i don't think its good.. but because the girl seems to be seductive and this is far away from what i am feeling right now....

Please .. WISH ME LUCK .. coz i really need it now :tear:

Personally, I don't think she looks all that seductive. Maybe a little I suppose. But I think she looks more sad and lost. The outfit that she is wearing shows that she wants to be an individual, she wants to let her true colors show through. But with the expression on her face, she looks like something is holding her back. Whoever happens to be in front of her isn't letting her be happy.

Although, that just my interpretation of the picture. I like it, a lot. :)

And, I am not sure what you are going through. But I wish you luck, and I hope things get better for you.

Wow, I really like this piece.
The patterns and materials add a native or tribal feel with a bit of cultural mystery. The pose is powerful and thoughtful and the eyes are a bit knowing. The feeling is of being at ease, a sort of comfort and understanding. Its as if a ritualistic dance were played out and the onlookers would have only their own questions and curiosities to keep themselves and anything more would break the spell.

The color is pale, soft and aged with a dark contrast eased into the mixture. It speaks of both age and timelessness, with the past entering into the future.
The two ribbons on the left and right do offer a good balance, but are perhaps too sharp in contrast (opposing the tone set by the rest of the image) which detracts slightly from the rest by taking the observers attention for more time than necessary.

The border seems to be a special item. I almost expect a top and bottom border to complete the image, but that could be considered an emotional effect too, drawing in the observer and teasing them letting them beg for more. It reminds us that we are but looking only into a window and we have no control over the scene before us.

Very nicely played out,
